About
Papert Lab is an independent research group investigating how humans solve complex problems and how intelligent systems can scaffold deeper thinking.
Our work spans requirement engineering pedagogy, self-directed learning, and context engineering for large language models. We build pedagogical systems grounded in cognitive science and evaluate them through controlled experiments.
The lab is named for Seymour Papert (1928–2016), the mathematician, computer scientist, and educator whose constructionist theory of learning—the idea that people learn most effectively by constructing artifacts in the world—remains the intellectual foundation of our approach.
